Parkwood Pellet Fires
Enjoy the ambience and warmth of a wood fire without the hassle of chopping and stacking wood with a Parkwood pellet fire. Pellet fires burn wood pellets made from waste sawdust. The pellets are fed into the burn chamber automatically and there is no need to tend to the fire while it is burning. Start the fire by simply touching a button and enjoy the warmth.
Pellet fires are environmentally friendly. Parkwood pellet fires have very low emissions and hight heat efficiency and are authorised by the Ministry for the Environment.
Less than 1% of the pellets are left as ash in the ash pan, which only needs to be emptied a few times each heating season. Pellet fuel takes up only a third of the space of firewood and comes in convenient 20 kg bags. A typical household will use around 60 to 80 bags per winter. The hopper holds up to 50 kg of pellets, which is enough for up to 80 hours of burn time.
Pellet fires use a little bit of electricity to run the fans that blow warm air into the room and push exhaust fumes out the flue. During normal operation a Parkwood pellet fire uses only about half the power of a conventional light bulb.
Pyroclassic IV
The Pyroclassic IV is an outstanding woodburner with the lowest emission rates for solid fuel burners in New Zealand.
The fire burns in a circular ceramic firebox, which can withstand temperatures much higher than a steel woodburner. The wood is burnt at temperatures between 800 and 1400 degrees Celsius, so that the wood and the smoke are burnt up completely. There is no creosote buildup in the flue and very little ash left in the firebox.
With a Pyroclassic IV you will use significantly less firewood because the ceramic firebox is also a heat store. When the fire is burning high, the heat will be stored in the ceramic instead of going out throuth the flue. Even long after the fire has died down the ceramic will continue to release warmth into the room.
A Pyroclassic can be installed with a wetback, it features a cooktop, and with accessories like the dutch oven, you can even bake and roast on it.
The Ministry for the environment lists the Pyroclassic IV with impressively low emission figures on its "List of tested woodburners", and the in the Consumer Institute July 2006 tests the Pyroclassic was the first recommendation in the two categories "freestanding woodburner" and "woodburner with wetback". |

Without
thermal insulation, almost as much heat can escape through
your home’s floor as through the ceiling. Adding to
the problem, a huge amount of moisture can evaporate from
the earth. Over time, this damages timber and contributes
to health problems, such as persistent colds and coughs,
and asthma.
By ‘sealing’
the earth with a polythene sheet, and installing thermal
insulation under the floor, the air in your home will be
warmer, drier, and healthier.
Energy Options offer
you:
- Expert advice
- Home/workplace
assessment
- Top quality products,
designed to last, designed to perform
- Choice of under-floor

- Hassle-free expert

- Installation in

Acoustic
insulation in interior walls and between-floor ceilings
helps to make a home or business environment a lot quieter.
(Exterior walls need thermal insulation.)
Acoustic insulation
is an ideal way to stop sound from a noisy area spreading
to other rooms: for example, the walls between your lounge
and bathroom and your bedrooms. In a workplace, it’s
well worth installing acoustic insulation in walls between
offices or areas with conflicting use such as between meeting
rooms and staff room. For multi-level buildings between-floor
noise can be dramatically reduced by building-in acoustic
insulation.
