The teams and advocates operate from offices/showrooms located in the relevant areas.

We also have a support office located in Whakatane, from this office we have a great team working in a variety of roles from reception, through to accounts, operations, marketing, and general management. This team is committed to working for the eastern bay residents and to support the other community branches in reaching their community.

Our history

Energy Options started out in 1999 as a business unit of Opotiki Trade Training. Between 1999 and 2003 our team ‘retrofitted’ insulation to over 3000 Eastern Bay of Plenty homes.

In mid-2003 The Eastern Bay Energy Trust purchased the retrofit business activity and our team was reformed into Energy Options.

Because we are committed to our values and our community, our good works in the Eastern Bay were noticed and we were asked to help implement the same model in other communities. This is how we found ourselves with the privilege of operating and supporting other communities and helping them to make a difference.

Energy Options had grown from a team of eight in 2003 to over 25 by late 2005. We now have a team of over 80 and are passionate about serving our communities ensuring families are living in warmer, drier, healthier, more energy efficient homes whilst caring for our environment, so that the future generations get the chance to enjoy the resources we have.
